EG.D, a.s. owns, operates, manages and develops the electricity and gas distribution networks. We supply 1.5 million customers with electricity in the South Moravia and South Bohemia Regions, in Vysočina and partly in the Zlín Region. We are in charge of gas distribution in the South Bohemia Region. We make sure that both electricity and gas reach customers from homes, businesses and cities in a fast, safe and reliable way. That is why we invest more than CZK 5 billion every year in maintaining the distribution network, much of which is spent on the deployment of smart technologies and digitalization.

We are looking for a Head of Planning and Reporting to join our EG.D, a.s. team.

In this role you will...

  • you don't have to have an experience of CFO - you'll be on B-2 level and holistically manage the a team of 3 colleagues.
  • carry out financial controlling (not business) responsible for process and coordination the controlling cycle of mid-term planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • cooperate closely with other controlling departments.
  • analyze and comment on business developments, proactively provide decision-relevant information, and draw up recommendations for actions for all relevant stakeholders.
  • have responsibility for preparation and further improvement and development of management reporting, incl. communication towards CHQ.
  • engage in the professional development of your direct reports and actively contribute to wider Finance community

What should an ideal candidate meet?

You don't have to be Superman but there are a few qualities / knowledge we need from you ...

  • comprehensive and well-founded controlling knowledge based on relevant academic degree and profound working experience in controlling.
  • an experience and know-how from a big company in the area of controlling and reporting - yet you don't have to have 20 years of international project experience
  • track record in successful leading people, outstanding leadership experience with ability to motivate and support high performing team and lead it through the change.
  • integral and trustworthy personality with positive mindset and positive can-do attitude
  • experienced to structure and solve problems.
  • strong team player with ability to build and use reliable relationships and networks with stakeholders
  • excellent business acumen, commercial mindset, and negotiation skills
  • fluency in Czech and English.
