Gazprom to significantly increase gas supplies to Slovakia from Tuesday, SPP chief says

Bratislava, March 31 (ČTK correspondent) – Russian gas group Gazprom will significantly increase natural gas supplies to Slovakia from Tuesday via the TurkStream pipeline, which runs through Turkey and other countries. Vojtech Ferencz, chief executive of Slovak gas utility SPP, told reporters today.

SPP, Slovakia’s largest gas supplier, has a contract with Gazprom through 2034. Gazprom originally supplied gas to Slovakia via Ukraine, which ended the transit of the commodity at the beginning of this year after refusing to extend the relevant agreement with the Russian side. In February, Gazprom began transporting gas to Slovakia via the TurkStream pipeline.
