Ško-Energo ends heating season in Mladá Boleslav, Czechia; it was 48 days longer

Mladá Boleslav-based Ško-Energo ended the heating season today. It began on 24 September last year and was 48 days longer than the previous one, lasting 246 days. Because of the colder winter, it supplied people with 20 percent more heat than in the previous season. The company’s spokesperson, Martina Vulcová, informed the Czech News Agency (ČTK) in a press release today.

"The heating season that is now ending was the third-coldest winter in the past ten years. Only the 2016/2017 and 2020/2021 seasons were colder. Compared with last year's heating season, all the winter months except January were colder. Ško-Energo, together with the distribution company Centrotherm, supplied a total of 478 thousand GJ of heat to the city of Mladá Boleslav, around 20 percent more than during the previous heating season," Vulcová said.
