Czech company EDU II calls on EDF to disclose its bid for Dukovany

Energy company Elektrárna Dukovany II (EDU II), jointly owned by ČEZ and the Czech state, has called on French company EDF to disclose its bid to build nuclear units at Dukovany. It insists that the selected bid from Korea’s KHNP was better in every respect. The Czech company said this in a statement today. EDF responded today that it would not comment on the call.

The Regional Court in Brno will rule today on whether to issue an interim injunction in connection with a lawsuit filed by French energy company EDF. The company filed the lawsuit on Friday, challenging a decision by the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) that found the nuclear tender for the completion of Dukovany to have been conducted properly.
