Radiation levels at Iran's Natanz nuclear facility remain normal after Israeli strikes, IAEA says

Radiation levels at Iran's Natanz nuclear facility have not risen following Israeli strikes. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said this, citing information from Iran, according to Reuters.

The IAEA also said that the Bushehr nuclear power plant had not been targeted by an Israeli strike, nor had the nuclear facility in Isfahan. In a post on X, the IAEA wrote that it was "closely monitoring the concerning situation in Iran" and was in contact with Iranian officials and its inspectors in the country.

Natanz, which lies about 225 kilometres south of Tehran, is home to Iran's main uranium enrichment facility. Iran's state television reported that the complex had been hit several times.

The Israeli attack came overnight, after the IAEA Board of Governors officially found on Thursday for the first time in 20 years that Iran was failing to meet its nuclear programme obligations.
