Slovakia and Hungary announce suspension of Druzhba pipeline supplies

Oil supplies to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline have been suspended. Slovak oil transporter Transpetrol announced this today, according to Reuters. It added, however, that it expects supplies to resume in the evening. Hungary has also reported a halt to supplies via the Druzhba pipeline, saying it was caused by a Ukrainian drone attack, Reuters reports.

Transpetrol said, according to Reuters, that supplies had been halted for „technical reasons outside Slovak territory“.

No oil has been flowing to Czechia via the Druzhba pipeline since last week. Refinery company Orlen Unipetrol announced on Monday that it was beginning to use the oil promised from state reserves. Industry and Trade Minister Lukáš Vlček said last week that supplies to Czechia had been halted because payments between Orlen Unipetrol and Russian suppliers had not been made.
