ČEZ ESCO has gained 26,000 new electricity and gas supply points in Czechia over the past three years

ČEZ ESCO is not only the largest supplier of modern energy solutions for businesses and the public sector, but also remains the leading commodity supplier to these customers. It currently supplies electricity to nearly 125,000 supply points, a number that has increased by 20,000 over the past three years. The number of natural gas supply points has even doubled, to more than 13,000. ČEZ ESCO’s share of the electricity market currently stands at around 30 percent.

“ČEZ ESCO is not only the largest supplier of modern energy solutions such as photovoltaics, energy-saving projects and cogeneration, but also remains the largest supplier of electricity and gas to large customers. During the energy crisis, we even significantly strengthened our position in the electricity and gas sectors, adding 26,000 supply points. This significantly increased our customer base, with customers welcoming the stability and cooperation with a reliable supplier that sticks to its terms. They also appreciate that we can combine energy supplies with, for example, the overall optimisation of a customer’s energy operations and energy-saving solutions. We therefore provide clients not just with a product, but with a comprehensive service tailored to their needs,”
explains ČEZ ESCO CEO Kamil Čermák.

ČEZ ESCO is also the leading supplier of electricity generated from zero-emission sources. Last year, its customers consumed nearly 2 terawatt-hours of electricity generated from renewable energy sources and 630 gigawatt-hours of nuclear power, an increase of 10 percent and 13 percent, respectively.

“We are seeing growing interest among companies in clean energy, as large customers want to meet ESG criteria and their climate protection and decarbonisation targets. Buyers of zero-emission electricity include companies from a wide range of sectors, including construction, the automotive industry, banking and retail chains,” adds Martin Kročil, director of the Commodity Products and Services division at ČEZ ESCO.

ČEZ ESCO customers can also use the online ESCO Energy Market application. Customers use it to buy contracted volumes of commodities at the times and in the quantities they choose. The application also gives customers an overview of all their contracts, including which products they have bought for each month, in what volumes and at what prices, and how much remains to be purchased to meet their contracted volumes. They can also track commodity price trends. With this detailed information, they can buy commodities easily and quickly at prices based on those on energy exchanges.
