Czech transmission and distribution system – Part 4: 400 kV lines

400 kV lines, or extra-high-voltage (EHV) lines, in the Czech Republic, as well as 220 kV lines and selected 110 kV lines, are operated by the Czech transmission system operator, ČEPS. These are the lines at the highest voltage level found in the country. They are used to export high outputs from power plants and to transmit electricity over long distances. This voltage level also has the greatest representation in the Czech transmission system, with a total length of 3 735 km, of which 1 371 km consists of double and multiple-circuit lines.

Today’s article provides a list of 400 kV lines, including information on their length, year of commissioning, whether the line is single- or multiple-circuit, and the type of pylon used on the line.
