RWE to offer turnkey solar power plants in Czechia, including financing

RWE will offer turnkey rooftop solar power systems, including all necessary arrangements. RWE will help its customers submit applications under the New Green Savings programme, arrange the selection of a suitable system in cooperation with Frankensolar, and provide advantageous bridge financing through its partner bank ČSOB. The company announced this yesterday in a press release.

Low wholesale electricity prices are forcing major energy companies to seek further opportunities, not only in the energy market. Companies are now offering a range of services from sectors not directly related to energy.

RWE will now provide comprehensive services for customers wishing to increase the energy self-sufficiency of their family homes by acquiring a solar system – from designing a solar power plant solution and selecting specific panels and a supplier, to bridge financing in cooperation with its partner bank ČSOB. The aim is to make all steps associated with acquiring a solar system as easy as possible for the customer.

“Customers do not have to worry about designing a suitable solution themselves, finding an energy specialist or designer, selecting a suitable supplier of a solar system, installation and so on. They simply need to contact RWE and we will help with everything required.”

“We are sizing our offering with regard to the New Green Savings subsidy programme, and to make it easier for customers to navigate, we have four basic standardised installations. Naturally, we will tailor these on a turnkey basis according to the specific parameters of the customer’s house and their consumption. If legislation permits, we are prepared to offer a purchase price of five hundred crowns per megawatt-hour to those who also purchase energy from us. In any case, we will assume imbalance responsibility and responsibility for any excess energy fed into the grid on behalf of our customers.”

RWE continues to expand its portfolio of activities

In an effort to embrace modern energy trends and accommodate customers looking for ways to save on electricity bills, RWE has already, for example, introduced LED lighting rentals.

Compared with conventional light bulbs of the same brightness, LED luminaires consume around 6-7 times less electricity and also offer a substantially longer service life. They outperform halogen bulbs in these respects as well. The drawback of LED lighting is its high upfront cost.
