AKU-BAT Association prepares unique seminar on energy storage and photovoltaics in buildings

The AKU-BAT Association is holding its second seminar on ENERGY STORAGE AND PHOTOVOLTAICS IN BUILDINGS. This time, the seminar will take place on 24 January in Brno, at Brno University of Technology.
The seminar is intended for architects, building services engineers, residential and industrial developers, professionals and the general public, teachers at vocational secondary schools, property managers, representatives of housing cooperatives, municipal mayors and others interested in the topic.
The seminar is divided into three thematic areas. In the first, participants will learn about current legislation and the changes they can expect in the near future. This section will also present current and planned grant schemes administered by the State Environmental Fund (SFŽP) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO).
The second part of the seminar focuses primarily on photovoltaics. Leading experts from both the private sector and academia will speak about when PV makes sense, how to calculate its acquisition costs, the technical aspects of installing PV on roofs, mounting systems, building energy management and other topics.
The final afternoon block is devoted to energy storage. Speakers will discuss when it is appropriate to consider energy storage, how to select a suitable type and why it makes sense at all. They will also present real-life case studies, an economic analysis and the current technological options for batteries. Last but not least, the discussion will cover the basics of planning, electrical installation and safety requirements.
