Czech Temelín generated a record 17,38 million MWh of electricity last year

Temelín nuclear power plant generated 17,38 million megawatt hours of electricity last year, its highest annual output to date. This is 900.000 MWh more than the previous record level from 2017. The record was primarily driven by extended fuel cycles, meaning that operation is longer following regular planned outages. Temelín plant spokesperson Marek Sviták told ČTK today.

"We are extending operation between outages, increasing efficiency and continuously modernising the plant. All this while maintaining a high level of safety.
