The DevOps Problem Manager is responsible for managing and resolving complex technical problems within the DevOps environment and enabling the effective collaboration and productivity of DevOps teams. This role focuses on identifying and addressing root causes of incidents, implementing preventive measures, and providing the necessary tools and platforms for DevOps teams to work efficiently. The Problem Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to ensure efficient and effective problem resolution and enablement of DevOps practices.

In this role you will

  • Identify and analyse recurring incidents and problems within the DevOps environment.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause of incidents and problems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to develop and implement preventive measures and workarounds.
  • Provide guidance and support to DevOps teams in problem management best practices.
  • Enable effective collaboration and transparency within DevOps teams through the provision of central and secure collaboration environments (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Provide cutting-edge and high-matured DevOps platforms for continuous integration, deployment, and operations.
  • Facilitate the use of agile collaboration whiteboards, such as Miro, to enable distributed teams to work effectively online together.
  • Ensure the availability of a managed multi-tenant containerized orchestration platform, such as Kubernetes (K8S), for DevOps teams.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure effective problem resolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in problem management and DevOps.

What we need from you

  • bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • proven experience in problem management within a DevOps environment
  • strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • knowledge of incident management, change management, and ITIL processes
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • strong communication and collaboration skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • certifications in ITIL, DevOps, or related areas are a plus
  • advanced English is a must
  • fluent or advanced Czech
