We are looking for a Market Analyst of energy markets for our international Fundamental Analysis team, part of E.ON Energy Markets, based in Prague (E.ON Česká republika, s.r.o.). We are a team of Analysts supporting E.ON all around Europe to be successful in all the new challenges associated with the European energy markets. “Because the WE has no limits!”

The challenge
- Be part of an E.ON central team, that is setting the direction (for example environmental issues, energy crisis management, global hedging) for E.ON in challenging, but at the same time exciting environment.
- Understanding the energy markets’ dynamics and risks and their fundamental drivers and the interconnection between the national markets in Europe and beyond.
- Being able to understand and adapt quickly to the high dynamics of energy markets and their impact on E.ON.
- Communicate the complex market related topics (environmental impacts of energy production, security of supply) in a audience oriented manner to the manyfold stakeholder within the company including top management.
- Develop automated reports that supports hundreds of our colleagues all around Europe in their daily routines such as price development, risk management, accounting etc.
Your background is
- university degree in natural science, mathematics, economics, environment, or a related technical discipline.
- motivation to deliver valuable solutions and taking a personal pride in the quality of your work.
- combine teamwork with independence and responsibility.
- enthusiasm for energy economics and data-driven solutions and environmental questions.
- high organizational skills with an analytical and structured way of thinking.
- eager to collaborate within the E.ON organization in Europe remotely or locally.
- embracing opportunities to learn and develop yourself.
- excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
We would be excited if you
- have experience with fundamental analysis of power and/or natural gas markets.
- can script, preferably in Python.
- have advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with VBA.
- have experience with reporting tools (e. g. PowerBI).
- can speak other languages like German, Czech or any other language.
