IT Application Release Manager (Governance)

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Define governance and design principles for the deployment of software applications across E.ON’s digital landscape.
- Ensure standardized processes, compliance with security and audit requirements, and alignment with enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Establish and monitor release calendars, KPIs, and reporting for transparency and efficiency.
- Coordinate and oversee Change Requests to ensure controlled and compliant software adjustments.
- Plan and coordinate UATs in close alignment with App Owners and stakeholders (without technical execution).
- Drive continuous process optimization to sustainably improve the user experience.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define deployment strategies, minimize risks, and improve release quality.
What we need from you:
- bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field alternatively profound track record in the targeted field
- passion for structured IT processes, governance, and high-quality software delivery
- proven experience in release management, software deployment governance, or IT process design
- strong stakeholder management and communication skills in complex organizations
- relevant university degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
- analytical mindset with ability to design and optimize frameworks and processes
- ideally knowledge of MS Intune and Microsoft Entra
- fluent in German and English, with intercultural collaboration skills
